Call the Ministry of Justice
When it’s your slot, call the Ministry of Justice on 0203 334 3555 and demand they respond to Prisoners for Palestine’s open letter. List the demands — you may use the script below or paraphrase.
Take up your whole slot
If they hang up, call again, repeat the demands and detail why each one is important. You can refer to the open letter.
Once your slot is up
Please write up some short notes in the spreadsheet on how it went, how the phone operator responded, and anything worth noting by Prisoners for Palestine or future callers.
The Script
I am calling on behalf of Prisoners for Palestine to demand the Ministry of Justice respond and engage with the open letter issued to them and the Home Office.
Three Prisoners for Palestine, Qesser, Amu and Heba have began a hunger strike, with more to join if your silence continues. The demands are.
- End all censorship of communications.
 - Immediate bail.
 - Right to a fair trial; that the minutes of meetings between British and Israeli state officials are released immediately.
 - Drop the terror link and terrorism charges.
 - Shut Elbit Down!

How will you ensure an immediate response to these demands?
Things to keep in mind
They may cut you off and try to divert the conversation.
Bring it back to the demands, the urgency of the situation, that the prisoners are on hunger strike and the longer they stay silent, they are putting the prisoners in danger.
You may get hung up on. Don’t let this deter you and try to put things in your own words to make more of an impact.
